Dentures in Monroe, LA
Should You Get Dentures?
If you have several missing teeth or all of your teeth are missing, dentures may be the solution, particularly if your missing teeth are contributing to problems with eating. Individuals with serious gum disease can also benefit from dentures. Choosing dentures as replacements for missing teeth is a personal decision you should make with the input of a dental professional. At Arrow Dental Center, our denture experts can help discuss your tooth replacement options and help you decide if dentures are the right choice for you.
Signs You Might Need Dentures
- Missing teeth
- Loose teeth or increasing gaps between teeth
- Frequent toothaches
- Headaches or jaw pain originating from the teeth
- Difficulty chewing foods
- Pain when biting down
- Gum disease (red, tender, bleeding gums)
Dentures We Offer
- Full Mouth Dentures: These are removable dental prosthetics that replace all the teeth in the upper, or lower jaw. They are usually made of acrylic or resin.
- Partial Denture: Partials are made from resin or acrylic and replace missing teeth when only some of them are missing. The replacement teeth will be made of acrylic and will have clasps that hold the partial denture in place. During your consultation, we can discuss which type of partial dentures will be best for your case.
- Snap-On Implant Retained Dentures: These types of horseshoe shaped dentures are held in place by implants, providing greater stability for the denture while still allowing it to be removed for cleaning.
The Process for Getting Dentures: A Timeline
Our dentists take the time to thoroughly evaluate each individual’s mouth, teeth, jawbone, and gums, taking digital images and conducting a comprehensive examination before beginning the design of their dentures. Each design is customized to fit precisely for comfort, function, and aesthetics. Once we have designed the dentures, we send the design to our dental lab, where trained technicians carefully craft the new dentures. This process can take 2 to 3 weeks.
When your custom dentures are ready, you will return to our office. We’ll check the fit of your new dentures, trim and adjust them as needed, and send you home with a beautiful set of new teeth. You will have try-on appointments beforehand to make sure you are satisfied with the shape, fit, and color of the teeth.
At Arrow Dental Center, we provide free adjustments to your dentures, keeping costs low even when there is a problem. We also offer inexpensive denture repairs and rebasing for your convenience.

Dentures over a normal course of time will wear and need to be replaced or relined in order to keep the jaw alignment normal. The alignment will slowly change as the bone and gum ridges recede or shrink due to the extraction of the teeth. Regular dental examinations are still important for the denture wearer so that the oral tissues can be checked for disease or change.
